The Buffalo Farm won the promotional slot for its Buffalo Raspberry Ripple ice cream, made from real buffalo milk from the company’s herd.
The Scotmid Scottish Favorites competition, organized with Scotland Food & Drink, aims to showcase the best regional products with wide appeal to consumers. Each product will work for a period of three weeks.
Steven Mitchell of The Buffalo Farm said, âThe Buffalo Farm team and I are delighted that our Buffalo Raspberry Ripple ice cream has been chosen as a promotional listing for Scotmid stores across the country.
âIn April of this year, we launched our mouthwatering Buffalo Ice Cream which is made from milk from our own Buffalo herd, which is raised in Fife. This is truly an amazing opportunity for us, and if the feedback is anything like what we have received locally by selling our ice creams in our own store in Boglily and various farm shops, I will be extremely eager to see what l The future holds for us.

The competition which was launched during the Scottish Food & Drink Fortnight in September was designed to advocate for local producers and demonstrates Scotmid’s commitment to Scottish sourcing. It received more than 50 applications from local businesses, each of which was judged by a panel of experts.
James Rizza and Sons, The Buffalo Farm, Strathmore Foods, The Caledonian Cola Company, and Thistly Cross Cider all got product listings.
