Sixteen of Buffalo’s hottest food and beverage companies are in the spotlight in Food and Wine, Time Inc.’s colorful monthly magazine and website that provides recipes, news, travel features and more. Again.

Andrew Parks, author of “16 Reasons to Plan a Food and Drink Pilgrimage to Buffalo, NY” and former Buffalo News NeXt correspondent, eloquently sums up the appeal of new restaurant-bars like Toutant, Dapper Goose and Billy Club; bakeries like BreadHive and Five Points; and specialists like Barrel + Brine and BlackBird Cider Works.

Parks, a West Seneca East high school graduate and Syracuse University alumnus, didn’t get carried away by the most quirky and trendy stops – The Old Pink and its legendary steak sandwich are also featured on the list, as well as multi-seller West Side Bazaar, a Grant Street business incubator for immigrants and refugees that also offers a delicious mix of ethnic options.
